Our Story

Olive oil chosen for character, not noise

Dandeleon begins with Peru, with rare Criolla fruit, and with the belief that great olive oil should be remembered for flavour, precision, and the way it transforms food.

Dandeleon began with a simple conviction: exceptional olive oil deserves to be spoken about with the same seriousness people naturally give to wine. Not as a background ingredient, and not as a generic symbol of "wellness", but as something vivid, exacting, and deeply pleasurable to use.

At the centre is Vallesur, an extra virgin olive oil from Peru with the lift, bitterness, and pepper of rare Criolla fruit. Its flavour is green, aromatic, and unmistakably alive on the plate. Desert Miracle sits beside it as a softer organic counterpart, offering another expression without lowering the standard.

For many people in the UK, the language of fine olive oil begins and ends in the Mediterranean. Peru offers a different perspective. The climate, the fruit, and the resulting flavour profile produce oils with freshness, structure, and a distinct sense of place. The aim is not novelty for novelty's sake. It is to bring forward bottles that feel convincing from the first taste.

Led by flavourJump to section: Led by flavour

We are drawn to oils with a clear personality. Vallesur is prized for its green-fruity tension and clean finish. It brightens bitter leaves, beans, grilled meat, fish, soups, and simple bread with equal confidence. Desert Miracle offers a rounder, gentler profile for cooks who prefer a softer texture and a mellow almond note.

What matters to usJump to section: What matters to us

  • Distinct flavour over vague health claims.
  • Provenance you can taste, not simply admire.
  • Bottles that earn their place in the kitchen and at the table.

Everything starts there: with oils that feel grounded, generous, and memorable. Beautiful to live with, certainly, but chosen above all for what they do to food.
